Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PlayerCard (“we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible at playercard.dev. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PlayerCard. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

You register and sign in through Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Subscription & Payment

PlayerCard is a paid service at $3 USD per month. New accounts receive a 24-hour free trial with full access. After the trial period ends, a valid payment method is required to continue using the service and keep your profile publicly visible.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

4. Profile Visibility

Profiles that you choose to publish are publicly accessible to anyone with your profile URL. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your profile will no longer be visible to the public until an active subscription is restored. You may unpublish your profile at any time from your dashboard.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the content you upload to PlayerCard — including photos, videos, stats, and career information. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the service. We will never sell your content to third parties.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Is misleading, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Contains malware, spam, or unauthorised advertising

6. Acceptable Use

PlayerCard is intended for individual athletes to showcase their professional profile. You may not use the platform to impersonate another person, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the platform or other users. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

PlayerCard is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome (such as being contacted by a scout) will result from using it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayerCard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in your dashboard. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
