• Profile information: Information you choose to add to your PlayerCard, including date of birth, nationality, current team, playing position, career history, stats, and social media links.
• Media: Photos and video links (YouTube) you upload to your profile.
• Payment information: Billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number — Stripe handles all payment data directly.
• Usage data: Profile view counts and basic analytics to help you understand how your card is performing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and player profile
• Process your subscription payments via Stripe
• Display your public profile to visitors who have your link
• Send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account updates)
• Improve and maintain the PlayerCard platform
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Public Profiles

When you publish your PlayerCard, the profile information you have added — including your name, photo, position, stats, career history, and any social links you choose to display — becomes publicly accessible to anyone with your profile URL. Only publish information you are comfortable sharing publicly.

Unpublishing your profile removes it from public view immediately. Your data remains stored in our systems and can be republished if your subscription is active.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with the following trusted third-party providers to operate PlayerCard:

• Clerk — Authentication and user account management. Privacy Policy
• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Privacy Policy
• UploadThing — Secure photo storage and delivery. Privacy Policy
• Neon / Vercel — Database hosting and application infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties. We only share data with the providers listed above as necessary to operate the service.

5. Cookies

PlayerCard uses cookies primarily for authentication purposes via Clerk. These are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, photos, and personal data are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for longer where required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing
